Cooperation with Cameroon in civil aviation

Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication, announced that direct flights are about to be commenced in order to crown the developing relations with Cameroon.

turkey_cameroonHaving met with Robert Nkili, the Minister of Transport of Cameroon, Yıldırım said that within the framework of the air transport agreement they have signed, direct flights between Istanbul and Yaoundé will start during the last week of December. Minister Yıldırım underlined that the number of the flights planned to be four times a week could be increased upon demand.  
Underlining that the direct flights between Cameroon and Turkey will create significant advantages in terms of time, Minister Yıldırım stated that the indirect flights conducted between Istanbul to Paris and Paris to Yaoundé take 1.5 days and that with the start of the direct flights, such period will be reduced to 6 hours. Yıldırım said that there will be more visits between the two countries thanks to the commencement of the direct flights and that this situation will increase the trade and mutual investments.
