Siemens and DB Schenker Sign Master Frame Agreement

DB Schenker becomes the first logistics provider to sign master frame agreement with the global engineering giant, Siemens.

db_schenkerSiemens and DB Schenker have signed a framework agreement, which covers the global contract logistics relationship between the two German companies. Siemens has announced it is reorganising its warehousing setup worldwide in a bid to create a more cost efficient network. Siemens will focus on achieving a basic set of conditions for new warehousing space, pre-agreed with DB Schenker Logistics.
The global frame agreement covers set terms and conditions and will be effective for all Siemens business units globally. Initiation and closing of new contract logistics business will be handled under these defined conditions. The companies stated that the agreement will enable faster and easier commercial negotiations and discussions of conditions as Siemens reorganises its warehousing network.
Robert Walpole, Senior Vice President for Contract Logistics, DB Schenker, said, "This is a significant step in the development of our relationship and business basis. The global frame agreement represents a clear commitment from both parties to work even more closely at a global level. This will allow us to provide more customer-focused solutions for the Siemens warehousing network."
